January – Letter from the Chair

VHSA Impact January 2018
Dear Friends,
The new year is here, and we are excited for what it will hold! The second half of the year seems to be full of opportunities, and we have a few new families joining us too!
As we get back into our routine with co-op and field trips, we leave the holiday parties behind. We get down to the “nitty gritty” as we know the days to the end of the year are numbered. At our house that meant reassessing school assignments, and making a mid-semester shift in subjects that weren’t working out. How does the second half of the year look at your house?
For VHSA, this means we are beginning to prepare for the end of year wrap up. Committees are starting for planning the Homeschool Conference, and plans are being made for K, 8th, and 12th grade graduation. Our Bylaws committee has the goal of presenting a revised bylaws and statement of Faith for voting and ratification before the conference packets are printed.
Also, our leadership positions are changing out. We will be nominating members to be voted on to replace the seats that will be stepping down. (This includes the Chair position, as I will be taking a break.)
Have you considered joining our leadership? Do you have gifts and skills to share to make VHSA better in the coming year? Consider speaking up now, so we can help you explore those possibilities!
We can’t wait to see what God has in store for VHSA, but we know it will be good, because He picked YOU to be a part of it!
Prayerfully,
Laura
